From the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, the AWS provides employers with a wage subsidy of 75% and a maximum of $14 and hour for all apprentices.

Funded by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's Department of Advanced Education and Skills, the goal of the Small Enterprise co-operative placement assistance program is to expose small businesses to co-op and show students that the small business sector has viable and attractive career options. The SECAP offers a wage subsidy to successful applicants.
