Meti is a seasoned relationship-builder who has a strong appetite for driving positive change. As a former international student himself, Meti leans on his experience to help his teams support students along their educational journey. Meti believes effective and clear lines of communication are a cornerstone of the continuous innovation he strives to create.<

Since co-founding ApplyBoard in 2015 with his brothers, Martin and Massi Basiri, Meti has been instrumental in building longstanding partnerships with over 1,750 of the top educational institutions across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Ireland, as well as a global network of recruitment partners.

Meti has served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at ApplyBoard since 2022 after serving as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer since its founding. Meti is dedicated to strengthening internal alignment across ApplyBoard to its strategic plan and lead the executive team across the core of the organization.

In 2019, Meti was honoured by Forbes, being named to three Top 30 Under 30 lists in three different categories (Education, Immigrants, and Big Money). In 2021, Meti and Masi were award recipients for the 2021 Premier’s Awards for College. This award recognizes the social and economic contribution Ontario’s college graduates make to the province and beyond. Meti, along with his brothers, Martin and Massi, were honoured in 2022 as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
