Capilano University is the only post-secondary institution located on the North Shore of British Columbia and is dedicated to providing innovative and unique learning experiences that respond to our fast-evolving world. Their programs have a strong focus on community engagement, sustainability, and equity, diversity, and inclusion.

This renewed partnership between BHER and Capilano University supports their novel approach to entrepreneurial Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) and builds talent pipelines for the local entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Sea-to-Corridor, North Shore, and BC Lower Mainland

The project is creating 544 new WIL opportunities that include interdisciplinary research internships, a business plan competition, an entrepreneurship workshop series with incubator tours, and direct WIL placements for students with local start ups. BHER’s support will allow Capilano University to develop new and innovative opportunities that meet the needs of their diverse student body and the local start-up and entrepreneurship ecosytem.
